Menya Daruma focuses on the daily preparation of making stock and noodles from scratch. The process requires time and patience to create our foundation.  Bones and aromatics are used to produce soup stocks with nuanced depth.  Noodles are carefully made and rested to develop proper texture.  These base elements are combined with our signature ‘tare’ (seasoning) to create bowls made quickly and served hot.
Our counter seating and open kitchen allow our guests to experience how noodles are served at ‘menyas’ (noodle shops) across Japan.  While we take great pride in our broths, our menu also features Abura Soba, a soupless variation of ramen originating in Tokyo and quickly gaining popularity.
Daruma is a popular cultural symbol of Japan that represents perseverance and good fortune.  ‘Daruma’ is the Japanese pronunciation of the mythical Bodhidharma who is credited as the founder of Zen Buddhism.
